The World of Telron
Telron is a world defined by its scars. Once unified beneath the iron claw of a dragon empire, it now breathes as a fractured realm of proud city-states, untamed wilds, and weakening barriers between planes. The present year is 1537 PE, fifteen centuries since the last emperor whose name still marks the calendar. The history of Telron is written not only in its chronicles but in the very shape of the land.
A Realm Reborn from Draconic Rule
For over fifteen centuries, dragons governed Telron with absolute authority. Their fall, brought about by mortal rebellion and centuries of factional infighting between the followers of Bahamut and Tiamat, left a world without a single unifying power. In their absence, the peoples of Telron built their own sanctuaries: dozens of city-states that now stand as the last bastions of civilization against an encroaching wilderness.
The dragon empire's legacy is inescapable. Its resettlement policies scattered every race and culture across the continent, which is why travelers today may find elven artisans in desert bazaars, dwarven engineers in forest cantons, or dragonkin nobles in coastal republics. Telron is a mosaic, sometimes beautiful, sometimes volatile.
The Shape of the Present
The Siston Empire
In the west, Fire Empress Amelia Blackheart has founded a young empire from three city-states, backed by the fearsome Hell Knights and the power of the Jade Hand, one of the legendary Wards of the Last Emperor. The Siston Empire is barely a generation old, but its ambitions stretch far beyond its borders, and its grip is tightening.
The Free City-States
Beyond the empire's reach, a loose coalition of independent cities, including Silvercrest, Brightmarsh, Valland, and Aldbridge, struggles to maintain unity against both imperial pressure and the constant threat of planar incursion. Their alliance is fragile, their resources strained.
The Planar Threat
The wards that once sealed Telron's borders against otherworldly horrors have long since weakened. Fey, fiends, and entities from the Void slip through with increasing frequency. No corner of Telron is truly beyond their reach.
The Mystery of Ring Well
Somewhere on this map lies Ring Well, the hidden vault where the last emperor sealed away all the Wards of his age before walking into it and vanishing forever. Every major faction seeks it. The Church of the Ascendant, under High Priestess Almalexia, hunts its clues with quiet patience. Adventurers chase it for glory, warlords for power, scholars for knowledge. Those who learn too much of where it lies have a way of disappearing themselves.
